Andrej is the Head of DTB’s Employment team, and in addition to his engagement in the employment department, he also provides valuable support to the corporate law team and the team responsible for commercial contracts, including matters in areas such as ESG. He is experienced in providing advice to employers from various sectors, including legal support in understanding and ensuring compliance with labour legislation in Croatia, and in tackling all other employment issues.
Andrej has considerable experience in dealing with issues concerning residence and work of foreigners, and transfer of employment contracts to new employers (the so-called TUPE transfers), in negotiating with trade unions and works councils, handling collective redundancy procedures, and tackling issues concerning management contracts, bonuses, severance pay and other employment benefits, occupational safety, protection of whistleblowers, anti-discrimination, etc.
He is part of the M&A team in a consultative role providing labour law advice for numerous complex due diligence projects within various M&A and company ownership transfer transactions. Andrej has also successfully advised and represented a large number of highly regarded domestic and international companies from various sectors and areas of economic activity in amicable resolution of their disputes and litigation.
