EBRD to Become Third Biggest Stock Holder of ZSE

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has officially confirmed its participation in the capital increase of Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).

Namely, on 26 November 2015, the two financial institutions signed a Share Subscription Agreement (SA), under which the EBRD is to participate in the secondary public offering of ZSE’s capital increase.

Under the SA, the EBRD is to subscribe for 2.400 shares which will make EBRD the third biggest stock holder of ZSE.

The SA also provides for the right of EBRD to appoint one member of the ZSE’s Supervisory Board.

ZSE President of the Board, Ms Ivana Gažić, expressed her satisfaction with the fact that EBRD participated in the capital increase and believes that EBRD’s member to the Supervisory Board can be perceived as added value since they are always respectable experts in the field.

EBRD Director for Croatia, Ms Vedrana Jelušić Kašić, added this was an important investment for EBRD in terms of their efforts aimed at modernization and harmonization of the capital markets in the region.
