D-Resort Šibenik opened by Turkish investor Doğuş Group

D-Resort Šibenik is one of the newest hotels of Doğuş Tourism Group, hotel group owned by Doğuş Group, one of the biggest conglomerates in Turkey. D-Resort opened in Šibenik as a 4+ star hotel, with 69 luxurious rooms and suites and three exclusive villas. It is located in the only Croatian marina with five anchors and the only marina for super yachts in Croatia, overlooking the old town of Šibenik, channel St. Anthony and Šibenik port.

Doğuş Group celebrated and marked the completion of this successful EUR 25 million project in Croatia.

Doğuş Group is present in Croatia for six years and has so far invested more than 300 million euros in various projects, and employs around 350 employees, mainly from the local community. In addition to D-Marin Mandalina and D-Resort in Šibenik, Doğuş Group also is the owner of D-Marin Dalmacija in Sukošan, the largest marina in the region with a capacity of 1,200 berths at sea and 600 on land. D-Marin Borik in Zadar is the third marina of Doğuş Group in Croatia, said Mr Hüsnü Akhan, CEO of Doğuş Group at a press conference held on the occasion of the opening of the hotel.

Doğuş Group is currently working on a hotel project Maraska, which will have 120 rooms and 80 suites, and for which a contract was signed with world-renowned hotel chain. The Doğuş Group also owns Villa Dubrovnik, as well as the 11 % stake in company ACI, making this group the second largest shareholder of the national nautical home.
