Olena Manuilenko, Head of IP at Divjak, Topić & Bahtijarević Law Firm, has been appointed to the INTA Copyright Committee

New to INTA’s committee structure, the Copyright Committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the impact of copyright law and enforcement on trademark rights. The committee will monitor copyright cases, legislation and regulation in various jurisdictions, complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the Board. Work includes report and submission writing, interaction with copyright organizations and advocacy in conjunction with relevant INTA committees and staff.

Four rounds of HRK 300 million recapitalization of Port of Rijeka successfully completed

In four rounds of recapitalization of the Port of Rijeka by public offering of new ordinary shares, a total of 7,500,000 new shares with the value as of HRK 300 million has been subscribed and paid for, as reported by Vedran Devčić, CEO of the Port of Rijeka. 

Privredna banka Zagreb was the Agent, as the second largest bank in Croatia (after Zagrebačka banka), owned by Intesa Sanpaolo group of Italy.

D-Resort Šibenik opened by Turkish investor Doğuş Group

D-Resort Šibenik is one of the newest hotels of Doğuş Tourism Group, hotel group owned by Doğuş Group, one of the biggest conglomerates in Turkey. D-Resort opened in Šibenik as a 4+ star hotel, with 69 luxurious rooms and suites and three exclusive villas. It is located in the only Croatian marina with five anchors and the only marina for super yachts in Croatia, overlooking the old town of Šibenik, channel St. Anthony and Šibenik port.

Doğuş Group celebrated and marked the completion of this successful EUR 25 million project in Croatia.

CEESEG to sell stake in Ljubljana Stock Exchange to Zagreb Stock Exchange

The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) has signed an agreement to take over 100% of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) shares from the CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESEG), following exclusive negotiations since late June 2015. Upon approval by regulatory authorities of both countries and following a capital in-crease by the Zagreb Stock Exchange, the transaction is expected to be completed in the last quarter of this year. Both parties agreed on not disclosing the price of the transaction.

Participating in the World bank s annual report

DTB's Employment team, lead by Saša Divjak, have proudly participated, on the invitation-only basis, in the World Bank's latest edition Women, Business and the Law 2014: Removing Restrictions to Enhance Gender Equality.

In the foreword the publisher shared their thoughts on the latest data helping clarify the magnitude of the challenge society still faces in the quest to ensure equality.

E communication and modern technologies in litigation proceedings

The International Scientific and Expert Conference on the theme of “E communication and modern technologies in litigation proceedings” took place in Zagreb on 25 April 2014 in the organization of the Ministry of Justice and the Faculty of Law.

Make Their World a Better Place

Make Their World a Better Place is a charity action recently organized by the Rotary klub Zagreb Gradec. The purpose of the action is to provide adequate living space to the youngest patients of the Special Hospital in Gornja Bistra.
This action was supported by Severina, as well, by holding a charity concert in the Lisinski Hall. All funds raised were donated to the Special Hospital in Gornja Bistra.
